The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
