T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit it will come out shining white, not due to any illness one more sign.” 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
