Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
