The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
