The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
