Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
