Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the concrete reality? 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the awful cry! 5 And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; 6 violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. 7 Do you now see any trace of them? 8 And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 On that day, the inevitable event will take place 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 On that Day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 He is therefore in the desired serenity. 21 in a high Garden, 22 The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 Would that it (my death) had ended it all! 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 then fasten him with a chain, seventy cubits long. 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 Nor urged others to feed the poor. 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37
