Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By oath of the late morning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
