But no; I swear by what you see, 38 And all that ye see not 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). 48 We certainly know that some among you do deny it. 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
