The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
