Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured. 72 Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship- 73 other than Allah' They will reply: 'They have gone astray from us. Indeed what we used to call upon before is nothing' Accordingly, Allah leads the unbelievers astray. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 Therefore have patience, the Promise of Allah is true. Whether We show you something of that We promise them or call you to Us, to Us they shall all return. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
