The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created man. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
