Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
