The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
