The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And those who recite the message, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
