HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
