Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A numerous company from among the first, 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 And those on the left – how (wretched) are those on the left! 41 In hot wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke. 43 Neither cool nor refreshing. 44 Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence, 45 and persisted in the Great Sin, 46 They used to say: “What! Once we are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, shall we still be raised to a new life from the dead? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients' 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 Will be gathered together on a certain day which is predetermined. 50 Then you erring ones, you that cried lies, 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 And shall be drinkers thereon of boiling water. 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 It is We Who created you, so why do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you considered the seed? 58 Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators? 59 We have [indeed] decreed that death shall be [ever-present] among you: but there is nothing to prevent Us 60 In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know. 61 You are well aware of the first creation; then, do you learn no lesson from it? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 Tell Me! The water that you drink. 68 Send it down ye from the raincloud, or are We the Sender down? 69 If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
