Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 Guiding unto rectitude; wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone. 2 and that “He – exalted be His Majesty – has not taken to Himself either a wife or a son”; 3 And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie. 4 and that [we were mistaken when] we thought that neither man nor [any of] the invisible forces would ever tell a lie about God. 5 And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden. 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 and that “we do not know whether evil is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends to direct them to the Right Way”; 10 And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. 11 We have realized that we could never thwart God on earth and that we would never be able to thwart Him by flight. 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 That We might try them there by. And whosoever turneth aside from the remembrance of his Lord, him He shall thrust into a torment vehement. 17 And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone. 18 and when Allah's servant stood up to call on Him, they well-nigh swarmed him. 19
