▼ 79 The Snatchers
Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He lifted up its vault, and levelled it, 28 and darkened its night and brought forth its morning. 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 therefrom brought forth its waters and its pastures, 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 As convenience for you and your cattle. 33 But when the Great Catastrophe comes, 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 preferring the present life, 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 THEY WILL ASK thee [O Prophet] about the Last Hour: "When will it come to pass?" 42 In what [position] are you that you should mention it? 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
