Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
