O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
