The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Mount; 1 and by the Scripture penned 2 on unrolled parchment, 3 by the House inhabited 4 and by the lofty vault of the sky, 5 And the sea set aflame. 6 verily your Lord's chastisement shall come to pass, 7 There is none can avert it;- 8 On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion. 9 And the mountains will move with a visible movement. 10 Will be the day of woe for those 11 Who, ignoring the Reality, engage in pleasantries. 12 The day on which they shall be driven away to the fire of hell with violence. 13 'This is the fire that you cried lies to! 14 Is this magic? or ye still see not clearly! 15 Endure it [now]! But [whether you] bear yourselves with patience or without patience, it will be the same to you: you are but being requited for what you were wont to do." 16 As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,- 17 rejoicing in all that their Sustainer will have granted them: for their Sustainer will have warded off from them all suffering through the blazing fire. 18 'Eat and drink, with wholesome appetite, for that you were working. 19 They will recline on couches arranged in rows and We shall couple them with maidens with large, lovely eyes. 20 And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained. 21 We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire. 22 They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill. 23 ۞ And their boy servants shall go around them, as if they were pearls, safely hidden. 24 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 25 Saying, “Indeed before this, we were in our houses, worried.” 26 But God has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of scorching wind. 27 before this, we used to pray to Him. Surely, He is the Beneficent, the Merciful." 28

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
