Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
