Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
