Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah: 120 Grateful to Him for His favours; so He chose him and guided him to the path that is straight, 121 And We gave him in this world good, and in the world to come he shall be among the righteous. 122 Then, We revealed to you: 'Follow the Creed of Abraham, he of pure faith, he was not among the idolaters' 123 The Sabbath was only enjoined on those who differed about it. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differed. 124 Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and have disputations with them in the best manner; surely your Lord best knows those who go astray from His path, and He knows best those who follow the right way. 125 If you punish, let your punishment be proportionate to the punishment you received. But if you are patient, it is better for the patient. 126 Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. 127 Indeed Allah is with the pious and the virtuous. 128
