They ask you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit comes by the command of my Lord. You have been given very little knowledge. 85 If We pleased, We would certainly take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would find no guardian for you against Us, 86 Except as a mercy from thy Lord verily His grace unto thee is ever great. 87 Say: "If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another." 88 And indeed We have fully explained to mankind, in this Quran, every kind of similitude, but most mankind refuse (the truth and accept nothing) but disbelief. 89 And they say: We will by no means believe in you until you cause a fountain to gush forth from the earth for us. 90 or thou have a garden of date-palms and vines and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst in a sudden rush, 91 Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us piecemeal, as thou hast pretended, or bring Allah and the angels as a warrant; 92 or till thou possessest a house of gold ornament, or till thou goest up into heaven; and we will not believe thy going up till thou bringest down on us a book that we may read. Say: 'Glory be to my Lord. Am I aught but a mortal, a Messenger?' 93
