T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
