Have not the unbelievers then beheld that the heavens and the earth were a mass all sewn up, and then We unstitched them and of water fashioned every living thing? Will they not believe? 30 And We have placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake with them; and We kept wide roads in it, so that they may find guidance. 31 And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away. 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres. 33 And We appointed not for any human being before thee immortality; if thou then diest, are they to be immortals? 34 Every soul must taste of death and We try you by evil and good by way of probation; and to Us you shall be brought back. 35 But when the unbelievers see you they make fun of you (and say): "Is this the one who mentions your gods (deridingly)?" Yet in Ar-Rahman they disbelieve! 36 Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. 37 And they say: When will this threat come to pass if you are truthful? 38 Would that the unbelievers knew that no one would protect their faces and backs against the fire, nor they would be helped. 39 Aye! it would come upon them on a sudden and shall dumbfound them; they shall not be able to avert it, nor shall they be respited. 40 Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee, but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. 41
