SAY: "O my Sustainer! If it be Thy will to let me witness [the fulfillment of] whatever they [who blaspheme against Thee] have been promised [to suffer] 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
