▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 right before your very eyes? 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
