WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them desire to enter the bountiful Paradise? 38 By no means! verily We! We have created them from that which they know. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests, that, verily We are Able. 40 To bring instead (others) better than them, and We shall not be overcome. 41 Hence, leave them to indulge in idle talk and play [with words] until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs which they have been promised 42 The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal, 43 With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised. 44
