The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
