The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
