The great ones among Pharaoh's people said: "Verily, this is indeed a sorcerer of great knowledge, 109 who seeks to drive you from your land!" Pharaoh said, "What then do you advise?" 110 They said, 'Put him and his brother off a while, and send among the cities musterers, 111 "To bring all the wise magicians to you." 112 And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors. 113 The Pharaoh replied, "In addition to your rewards, you will become my close friends thereafter." 114 They said, "O Moses, either you throw [your staff], or we will be the ones to throw [first]." 115 "You cast it first," answered Moses. When they cast their spell, they bewitched the eyes of the people and petrified them by conjuring up a great charm. 116 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told. 117 ۞ Thus was the Truth vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain. 118 So they were defeated there and then, and were returned disgraced. 119 And the sorcerers prostrated themselves 120 They said: we believe in the Lord of the worlds. 121 "The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)." 122 Fir'awn said: believed ye in him ere I have given you leave? Verily this is a plot ye have plotted in the city that ye may drive forth the people thereof. So presently ye shall know. 123 I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then will I crucify you all together. 124 They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return. 125 “And what did you dislike in us, except that we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us? Our Lord! Pour (bestow abundantly) patience on us, and bestow us death as Muslims.” 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
