Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you visit the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
