If We extend anyone's life, We reverse his development. Can they not use their reason? 68 We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear: 69 to warn all who are truly alive, and to justify the word [God's verdict] against the deniers. 70 Are they, then, not aware that it is for them that We have created, among all the things which Our hands have wrought, the domestic animals of which they are [now] masters? 71 And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat: 72 And they have (other) profits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful? 73 They set up deities apart from Allah, hoping that they will receive help from them. 74 They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned). 75 Therefore let not their speech grieve you; surely We know what they do in secret and what they do openly. 76 Has not man regarded how that We created him of a sperm-drop? Then lo, he is a manifest adversary. 77 And he has struck for Us a similitude and forgotten his creation; he says, 'Who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed?' 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 He who produces for you fire out of the green tree, so that, lo! you kindle [your fires] therewith." 80 How can He who created the heavens and the earth not be able to create others like them? Why not? He is the real creator all-knowing. 81 His Being alone is such that when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, "Be" — and it is. 82 Wherefore hallowed be He in whose hand is the governance of everything, and unto whom ye shall be returned. 83
