The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
