Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
