The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
