Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
