And We have not created the heaven and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Are We to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? Are We to make the righteous as the wicked? 28 (This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him 31 And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night). 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said, 'My Lord, forgive me, and give me a kingdom such as may not befall anyone after me; surely Thou art the All-giver.' 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 and the satans, every builder and diver 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And verily, he enjoyed a near access to Us, and a good final return (Paradise). 40
