The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
