The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 and by the day when it breaks in its glory, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 None except the most wicked will enter it. 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
