T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
