And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
