Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
