Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ SAY: "I HAVE been informed that a number of jinns had listened; then said: 'We have heard the wondrous Qur'an, 1 "which guides to the Right Way; so we have come to believe in it, and we will not associate aught with Our Lord in His Divinity”; 2 And (we believe) that He - exalted be the glory of our Lord! - hath taken neither wife nor son, 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 We had supposed that men and jinn would never utter a lie against God. 5 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief. 6 And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) - 7 And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. 8 And we used to sit on places (high) therein to listen. But he who listeneth now findeth a flame in wait for him; 9 And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 "That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty. 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
