Nay, by the Moon 32 By the receding night 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to humans, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
