The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
