In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
